Abstract: The main goal of this project is to study the new gamma radiation detectors that appeared during the recent years, based on the scintillator material LaBr3:Ce (lanthanum bromide doped with cerium). This scintillator material has some properties that make it extremely interesting for the gamma ray spectroscopy and applications based on it
