Abstract: Gamma-ray beam offer unique opportunities to study (γ,p) and (γ,α) photoinduced reactions with implications in various astrophysical scenarios, from the primordial Big Bang explosion, to elemental formation during stellar evolution and to the mysterious p-process of heavy nuclei nucleosynthesis. An experiment to determine the ground state cross section of the 7Li(γ,t)4He reaction between E=4.4 and 10 MeV was recently finalized at the High Intensity ?-ray Source. This was the first time a large area silicon detector array was used for a direct measurement using a mono-energetic gamma-ray beam. This project aims to improve our knowledge of light-nuclei primordial nucleosynthesis during the Big Bang and during the so-called p-process using an improved experimental configuration coupled with theoretical analysis and large-scale calculations

Objectives: 1. Optimization of the experimental configuration through Monte Carlo simulations and carry our experiment at HIγS
2. Data analysis and ground-state cross section calculation of 7Li(γ,t)4He reaction. Perform R- matrix fit and compare with potential models and previous direct measurements.
3. Perform large-scale calculations of cross sections and astrophysical reaction rates for the charged-particles capture and photo-disintegration reactions with the newly obtained optical model potentials
